Refund Policy
What's covered
If you bought vmount and it doesn't work for you for any reason — broken on your hardware, missing a feature, wasn't what you expected, or you simply changed your mind — you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase. We don't ask why.
How to request
Email support@vmount.app from the address you used at checkout. Include either:
- Your license key (in your purchase confirmation email)
- The email address used at checkout
We'll process the refund within one business day. The funds return to your card via Paddle (our payment processor and merchant of record); banks typically take 5–10 business days to settle.
What happens to your license
Once the refund is processed, your license is automatically deactivated. The vmount app falls back to free-tier features (read-only access on supported filesystems). Pro features — write access, format, the AI assistant, the in-app terminal — stop working.
Files you've already copied out of vmount onto your Mac (or onto another destination) stay where you put them. Files written to a mounted disk also remain on that disk, accessible from any other tool that can read the filesystem.
Edge cases
- Bought as a gift? Same policy applies. Either the buyer or the recipient can request the refund.
- Lost your license key? Tell us the email address used at checkout and we'll look it up.
- Past the 14-day window? Email anyway. If vmount has a serious bug or fails to deliver what was promised, we'll still refund.
- Stuck waiting? Paddle processes refunds in 5–10 business days. If it's been longer, reply to the original support thread and we'll trace it.
Complaints and escalation
If you're unhappy with how a refund or support request was handled, reply to the original support thread or email support@vmount.app with the subject line Complaint. We commit to:
- Acknowledging your complaint within one business day
- Resolving routine complaints within five business days
- Telling you if a complaint will take longer, and why
If you can't resolve a complaint with us, you can also contact Paddle directly via paddle.com/support/buyers. Paddle is the merchant of record for your purchase and can independently process refunds and chargebacks.
